Exploring parametric concepts using an analog synthesizer. Delving into the interplay of sound parameters and musical expression.
Each track is a sonic exploration of the instruments inherent properties, making for unique musical experiences that challenge traditional notions of melody, rhythm, and timbre. From evolving textures to dynamic interactions. Sound shaped by the parameters that define it.
The music is composed/improvised/performed live on a Moog Matriarch synthesizer. Recorded in stereo directly to a DAW. No post-processing or editing. Released as a collection of 24-bit/48kHz .wav files, available for streaming and download.

01. Not Chords

Filtering, levels, delay feedback ++. The pitches form the background, the rest of the instrument is the composition.
Melody is timbre and movement. Realize eventually, you are not hearing chords.

Interplay of quasi-duality. Harmonics interacting thru gain staging, modulation and keyboard allocation.

Mixer is crucial, and playing around with feedback modulations.

I am amazed by different instruments different approaches to randomness.
What is random in one minute, is not in the next. After a while, everything is just completely normal.

Chasing beautiful sounds. How long do I let i ring before I act? This is mind-body interaction, I am the soft clipper, the ceiling is me.

Simply exploring how the instrument handles multiple keyboard notes. So many variables interacting, feels much more complex than it sounds.
